Yvette Reuter was born in Belgium in December 1933. She did her secondary studies with the Sisters of Notre Dame at their Normal School in Bastogne.
In 1954, Yvette taught at the primary school of Jumet Chef-Lieu until 1957, the same year she entered the novitiate of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
In 1960, Sr. Yvette taught one year in Namur, then three years in Quaregnon. From 1963 to 1975, she taught in the primary school of Jumet Gohissart. From 1975 to 1992, she was the directress of that school until her retirement in 1992.
Since then, she has been part of the community of Marche-en-Famenne and she works in parish ministry. Sr. Yvette prepares young couples for the baptism of their children. Sometimes she prepares adults and school-age children for the sacrament. Twice a week, she leads prayers in a home for retired people.
