Our lives are rooted in our experience of God’s goodness. All of the ways we serve God’s people are an expression of that fundamental experience of God.

More than 200 years after St. Julie Billiart founded the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, you find us in the classroom, whether it is a girls’ school in the United States, an elementary school in Nigeria, or a new Montessori school in Nicaragua. You also find us teaching in less conventional ways: doing prenatal health education in Tambogrande, Peru, educating asylum seekers in Britain and farm workers in Florida.
…we take our stand with poor people, especially women and children, in the most abandoned places.
We share the hardships of the people among whom we live and work, whether it is outages of electricity in the Congo, water that must be treated before consumption in Zimbabwe, or urban violence in the United States.
