Christmas Dawn – Sr. Mary McClure, SNDdeN

December 25, 2025

Luke 2: 15-20

Dawn. A new day. A new day with the

possibilities of a genuine encounter with the

Love of our God -made -flesh, fleshed into all

that it is to be human. Fleshed in to the heart of our suffering world.

Touch your hand. Feel the skin under your finger tips.

Our God took on this reality-
fleshed God’s very self into all that it is
to be weak, vulnerable, to feel pain, to experience rejection and loss- to be misunderstood,

And to experience deep love and friendship and companionship and reconciliation

Let us pray to be open to the humanity of our Good and Loving God
Let us pray in Thanksgiving
Celebrating the Goodness and Loving kindness of our God

May we live and rejoice in the blessings of our God, each day we are offered Life and life to the full

Amen

Luke 2: 15-20

When the angels went away from them to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go, then, to Bethlehem to see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went in haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the infant lying in the manger. When they saw this, they made known the message that had been told them about this child. All who heard it were amazed by what had been told them by the shepherds. And Mary kept all these things, reflecting on them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as it had been told to them.
