The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur mourn the great loss of Pope Francis but rejoice that he returns to God whom he loved and served so long and so well. We are grateful for his witness of servant leadership during the years of his extraordinary pontificate.
In his Urbi et Orbi address yesterday, Easter Sunday, Pope Francis called us to entrust ourselves to God, who alone can make all things new. We pray that Pope Francis intercedes for the Church as we follow the Risen Christ. May Pope Francis’ compassion and mercy, and his courage and passion for justice and peace, continue to inspire the whole world.
May Pope Francis rest now in the peace of the good God.
