Current Situation
Of the community “North Belgium”
The current activities of the sisters are very diverse.
Sister Annie still works as a volunteer in the Kauwenberg center in the city of Antwerp with the poorest, the needy, the excluded in all areas of society. She stands between them. The center will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2022.
- Sister Bernadette helps the elderly and disabled in a residential and care center in Ghent.
- Sister Nina participates in groups that facilitate faith conversations and is active within the Council of Religious of the Diocese of Antwerp, among other things.
- The disabled sisters are regularly visited by sisters and current and former employees who support Sister Nina.
Sister Annie receives flowers for her efforts for the poor and needy. Together with the rector of the University of Antwerp, the ribbon will be cut for the exhibition "50 years of Kauwenberg".
